Pfizer has refused to provide smoking cessation products to a pharmacy during public health initiative Stoptober unless it hands over confidential information for a stock audit. Whitworth Chemists in Wrekenton Health Centre, Gateshead, was denied supplies of smoking cessation drug Champix once it had exceeded its quota, unless it agreed to an audit by biopharmaceutical service company Quintiles.
