For Non-U.S. and Non-UK media Boehringer Ingelheim and Eli Lilly and Company today announced results from a new analysis of Phase III data demonstrating that treatment with the dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor linagliptin is not associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular events in the treatment of Type 2 Diabetes (T2D), versus a number of comparators (placebo, glimepiride and voglibose). These findings were presented at the American Diabetes Association (ADA) 73rd Scientific Sessions®.1
