Dundalk Democrat -- A BIOTECHNOLOGY research centre based at Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) was officially opened on Tuesday, January 19. The Ion Channel Biotechnology Centre works with the pharmaceutical industry to develop new drugs tackling conditions such as osteoarthritis and urinary incontinence.
