London, UK. September 2014 – Vision RT, the developer of world-leading motion management tools for the radiotherapy market, announced today that it will use its exhibit at this year’s American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) meeting in San Francisco to highlight its cutting-edge optical guidance technology.
At booth 2408 in the exhibition hall, ASTRO attendees will be able to see demonstrations of the full functionality of Vision RT’s AlignRT® system, including its frameless SRS module. GateCT® and GateRT® will also be on display, and technical and clinical support staff will be on hand to answer questions relating to Vision RT’s products.
Vision RT will also host presentations from two clinical experts* who will share their experiences on the advanced use of AlignRT® in their respective treatment centres. Dr Lesley Jarvis MD PhD, Attending Physician at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Norris Medical Center, will discuss how users can achieve cardiac sparing and improve setup for breast treatments using AlignRT®, based on its clinical use at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Norris Cotton Cancer Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Michael Tallhamer MSc DABR, Chief of Radiation Physics at Centura Health Parker Adventist Hospital in Denver, Colorado, will discuss the benefits of using AlignRT for intracranial SRS. See the timetable of presentations below. In addition to the presentations on the Vision RT booth there will be several oral presentations and poster publications about AlignRT during the meeting*.
*Any views or workflows relating to clinical performance presented by users, either at Vision RT’s booth or during the meeting, have not been validated by Vision RT and as such are not endorsed by Vision RT. Users of Vision RT's products should develop and validate their own workflows consistent with clinical practice within their facility.
