Valence Health Grows Clinical Integration Client Roster

CHICAGO, Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Chicago-based operations and information technology provider Valence Health has expanded its clinical integration practice with the addition of Adventist Health Network to its client roster. The Hinsdale, Illinois-based physician-hospital organization signed with Valence in mid-2005.

Through clinical integration, organizations are able to improve the quality of care and achieve new efficiencies by evaluating and modifying the practice of medicine. Valence reaches these objectives through the development, evaluation and management of evidenced-based clinical protocols.

“Adventist Health Network is on the cusp of a growing trend toward negotiating payer contracts on the basis of clinical integration and robust reporting,” said Philip H. Kamp, president and CEO of Valence Health. “Likewise, Valence Health is increasingly focused on providing clinical integration services to physician groups seeking an alternative to traditional risk arrangements.”

Valence Health is a leader in the emerging field of clinical integration. Valence Health works with clients to achieve and demonstrate clinical integration through the development and implementation of clinical protocols, the evaluation of provider adherence and compliance with the protocols through data gathering, and the use of reporting tools for provider education and performance improvement.

“When the decision was made to launch a clinical integration program, Valence Health offered a practical and effective solution. Their data reporting is superior to other vendors we considered,” said Dr. Robert Zeck, chief medical officer of Adventist Midwest Health and vice chairman of Adventist Health Network. “We are confident that the quality data Valence is providing to our physicians will benefit the community.”
