A new initiative designed to strengthen and deepen the Philadelphia region's biotechnology work force was announced Tuesday. The Philadelphia Biotechnology and Life Sciences Institute is being created as a collaborative initiative involving the Philadelphia School District, area universities, nonprofits and the local life sciences industry.
