Intrusion Inc. (Nasdaq:INTZ) (“Intrusion”) announced today the successful deployment of its Compliance Commander HIPAA Compliance Module (HCM) at Orthofix International N.V. The HCM can instantly detect and block unencrypted electronic patient health information (ePHI) from being transmitted either deliberately or unintentionally. Additionally, the HCM forwards real-time alerts to Intrusion’s web-based Compliance Commander monitor system to notify network administrators and HIPAA compliance officers of the violations. Alerts can also be sent via email and/or pager.
