A leading UK-based active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturer has secured a contract with drug development company Nuformix to become one of its exclusive supply partners.
The solid state team at chemistry specialist Onyx Scientific is now working closely with Nuformix, specialists in the optimisation of drug solid form.
The team at Nuformix initially had a vital requirement to increase both the quantity and quality of its solid state characterisation efforts in order to understand and progress its development programmes. After opting to use the services of Onyx Scientific, it sent representative samples to the North of England based organisation to test on its behalf and report back to assist development work.

After using its complementary equipment and integrated approach on the project, Nuformix officially appointed the contract chemistry specialist as its exclusive provider of characterisation support. As many drugs are formulated in solid dosage, it is essential for firms like Nuformix to understand, control and characterise the individual forms of a drug substance. This common requirement fits well with the technical expertise, facilities and track record offered by Onyx Scientific.
