LONDON, Aug. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Marken Ltd., a leading life sciences supply chain management organization, today announced the appointment of Christopher O’Connell as their new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) effective August 1, 2011.
Mr. O’Connell joins Marken with more than 20 years experience in the laboratory manufacturing and distribution services, construction and public accounting industries. He most recently worked for Thermo Fisher Scientific as Vice President of Finance for the Customer Channels Group, a multi-billion dollar, multi-national laboratory distribution and services group. Thermo Fisher serves pharmaceutical and biotech companies, hospitals, clinical diagnostic labs, universities, research institutions and government agencies and has a portfolio of over 800,000 products.
Mr. O’Connell also served Fisher in various roles which involved the development of the company’s portfolio strategies, acquisitions and integration of new companies, management of shared service functions as well as having full income statement responsibilities across multiple business lines.
