Introduction to LabWorm
Finding the best tools out there
The LabWorm community continuously curates numerous online resources for scientists, and supplements each with detailed information, discussions and metrics. Each week new and interesting tools are uploaded by the community and featured on LabWorm. Once a new tool is uploaded, it is instantly put to vote by the community that has the power to pick out the ‘Top 5 most popular tools of the week’, thus providing the LabWorm community with a metric that assists scientists with evaluating these tools. Thanks to an innovative and proprietary search engine developed by the LabWorm team, users are able to pinpoint the available tools for any required lab task, or locate them by browsing categories. In order to determine the best tool for the task, users can simply pick the highest ranked tool. LabWorm also enables users to create collections, where resources are bookmarked and shared, in-order to help other researchers get started with their own analysis in a certain research topic and view which tools other expert colleagues are using.
Connecting academic peers worldwide
LabWorm connects scientists to smart tools that help them carry out their ongoing research. Thousands of tool creators active LabWorm members assist fellow members with any question asked regarding their tool, turning LabWorm into a unique arena for direct and open communication between tool creators and their scientist users.
A vision of open collaboration
The vision of LabWorm is worldwide collaborative and open science and it is therefore social at its core, allowing scientists to exchange knowledge and expertise.
