The Kansas Bioscience Authority expedited nearly $3.7 million worth of in-state incentives to help attract outsiders. The awards, including $807,000 for three Kansas City-area companies, were approved during the KBA’s June 5 executive committee meeting -- rather than a July meeting of the full board -- so they could be touted during BIO 2008 on June 14-20 in San Diego.
