BATESVILLE, Ind., Aug. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Hill-Rom, a leading global provider of patient care environment and process solutions, announced today that it has added a new brake-and-steer option designed to improve the maneuverability and safety of its TranStar(R) Stretcher line.
The new option will allow caregivers to activate the brake-and-steer function from any of the four corners of the stretcher. This will lead to easier positioning, enhanced maneuverability and additional safety for both the patient and the caregiver.
Customers can elect to add the option at no additional cost. It is available on all TranStar Stretchers except the surgical stretcher. The TranStar Stretcher line includes stretchers specifically designed for use in procedural, trauma, surgical, and obstetrics and gynecology environments, as well as an electrical stretcher for enhanced patient control and comfort. A full line of complementary accessories is also available to help with the caregiving process.
TranStar Stretchers also feature dual-action, four-wheel brakes, OneStep(R) TuckAway siderails for zero gap transfers, ergonomically designed push handles and the Steering Plus(TM) system for easier maneuverability and cornering.
