November 23, 2011 -- The BioIndustry Association (BIA) has appointed Glyn Edwards as its interim Chief Executive effective immediately.
Mr Edwards was previously Chief Executive Officer of Antisoma from 1998-2011. Prior to joining Antisoma he worked in a variety of business development roles in the biotech and healthcare industries. He was also a member of the BIA Board. Mr Edwards has a BSc in Biochemistry from Bristol University and an MSc in Economics from the London Business School.

‘I am delighted that Glyn has been able to join the BIA at this time. Nigel Gaymond has left to pursue other opportunities and I thank him for his engagement with members and his contribution to the BIA over the past two years.
‘Glyn’s experience as a biotech CEO and a former BIA Board member will be valuable as we continue to develop the BIA.’
