SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., March 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- VaxGen, Inc. announced today that Eve E. Slater, M.D., F.A.C.C, will resign from the company’s Board of Directors as a result of having accepted a management position at a globally recognized pharmaceutical company. That company’s employment policy requires that she relinquish all of her directorships.

Dr. Slater is expected to remain on VaxGen’s Board of Directors until August 1, 2007 or until the company recruits her replacement, whichever comes first. The recruitment process is already underway.
