Epocrates Appoints Jeff Tangney Senior VP Of Sales And Client Service

SAN MATEO, Calif., Nov. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Epocrates, Inc. announced today the promotion of Jeff Tangney to Senior Vice President of Sales & Client Service. Tangney will manage all Epocrates business units including health services, market research, continuing medical education, pharmaceutical, and group sales. Previously, Tangney was Epocrates’ Vice President of Subscriber Marketing and Product Development.

Tangney led these initiatives as VP of subscriber marketing and product development.

Tangney co-founded Epocrates in 1998 with fellow Stanford graduate Richard Fiedotin, MD. Prior to Epocrates, Tangney was a manager at the consulting firm ZS Associates, where he provided marketing strategies to pharmaceutical clients. Tangney graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a B.S. in Economics, and earned an M.B.A. from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.
