Melbourne, Australia: Medical device company dorsaVi Limited (ASX: DVL) has today announced regulatory approval for the use and sale of ViMove from Medsafe, the New Zealand Medicines and Medical Devices Safety Authority.
ViMove is dorsaVi’s product for healthcare professional use and is currently available at medical, physiotherapy and osteopathy clinics in Australia, Canada and Europe.
ViMove consists of wearable sensors that are placed on the body to measure movement and muscle activity. Patients can be assessed through a series of movements or exercises performed in-clinic, or outside the clinic, at home or at work, where ViMove can monitor their everyday activities, and provide immediate biofeedback to the patient and a concise report for the healthcare practitioner.
The revolutionary device allows healthcare professionals that manage back pain or musculoskeletal conditions to offer personalised treatment to many patients.
