CDI Institute Declares Siperian As The Leader For ''Universal View Of The Physician’’ In Recent Survey; CDI Market Experienced Triple Digit Growth From 2003-2004

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 10, 2005--The CDI Institute, Inc.(TM) today announced that more than 65 percent of the major North American pharmaceutical firms surveyed selected Siperian as their preferred vendor for customer data integration (CDI) initiatives. According to CDI, this strong showing was unusual given that Siebel Systems is typically the incumbent candidate for such “master physician views” given its large install base for both Siebel ePharma and Siebel Sales. This survey demonstrates the increasing importance of flexible application integration as a catalyst for realizing return on investment (ROI) in large enterprises’ multi-million dollar customer relationship management (CRM) installations. In deference to Siperian’s commanding lead in the pharmaceutical market, even Oracle Corporation is believed to have shelved its plans for a “Physician Data Hub” despite its recent announcements of “product data hubs,” “RFID data hubs,” “citizen data hubs,” and more, for release in 2005.
