ORLANDO, Fla., July 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Cancer Centers of Florida has finalized plans for a new location in Winter Park, scheduled to open this fall. Cancer Centers of Florida-Winter Park will be located at 1561 West Fairbanks Avenue. It will replace the practice’s Altamonte Springs location.
The 12,000-square-foot facility will provide comprehensive, integrated cancer care, including medical oncology, radiation therapy, diagnostic radiology, clinical research and a broad array of patient-support services, in one easily accessible location. The latest, most-effective technologies will be used, such as a mobile Positron Emission Tomography (PET) unit and a diagnostic Computed Tomography (CT) unit.

In addition, through Cancer Centers of Florida’s clinical research program, patients will have access to leading-edge research trials designed to advance treatment for a wide range of cancers, including breast, lung and prostate. The practice is currently involved with more than 25 trials. Cancer Centers of Florida-Winter Park, just off Interstate 4, will be centrally located for patients throughout the Orlando metropolitan area. Its patient-friendly approach even reaches into its parking lot, which will offer ample parking for patients, just steps from the door.
Cancer Centers of Florida -- a regional oncology and hematology practice with dedicated physicians who treat approximately 5,000 patients annually -- has been providing cancer care to the central Florida region since 1994.
