CAD Engineering Release: New Process Significantly Increases Shelf Life of Blood

December 12, 2011 -- A unique blood bag has been developed that utilizes variable heat transfer rates for cryogenically freezing below -300°F and later thawing in warm water. Development tests would indicate the blood can be stored for over 10 years prior to thawing and then transfusing back into a patient. The bag and process are both covered by pending patents by the inventor: William C. Walter, PE - Pres. CAD Engineering.
