HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Burzynski Clinic (BC) announced today the successful treatment of a child with recurrent diffuse intrinsic pontine gliosarcoma (DIPGGS) at the 4th Quadrennial Meeting of the World Federation of Neuro-Oncology in San Francisco. Pediatric gliosarcoma (GS) is a rare variant of glioblastoma multiforme. The pontine location of this tumor is unusual, invariably fatal and successful treatment was not yet described in medical literature.
