(CMSI), a market leader in the contract management solutions industry, today announced that six Blue Cross Blue Shield companies in the past six months have purchased CMSI's contract management solution. These purchases are for Plans that cover 15 states, and are under the master purchase agreement which the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association signed last year, making CMSI's enterprise contract management solutions available to all of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association member companies throughout the U.S.
Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association is the association for the independent, locally operated Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies. Like most health insurance organizations, Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies enter into a wide range of agreements, including purchasing contracts for equipment and technology, facilities management, and physician contracts. CMSI applications will be available to Blue Plans on an ASP or in-house basis. In addition, local Blue companies will have the opportunity to take advantage of a dedicated, CMSI-hosted user group website that will allow the companies to exchange contract management related information with each other.
