CRANBURY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Those who could not attend the annual meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) in June can catch up on both science and care strategies in the special recap issue of Evidence-Based Oncology™ (EBO™), which is now available. EBO™ is a publication of The American Journal of Managed Care®.
The issue features a section on clinical findings, including new results on cemiplimab; the TAILORx trial, which offered practice-changing results in breast cancer; and the KEYNOTE-042 results that compare pembrolizumab to chemotherapy for some patients with non–small cell lung cancer.
An update on chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy includes promising early phase results in hard-to-treat multiple myeloma, as well as more results from the ZUMA-1 trial for Yescarta, which show likely long-term outcomes for patients with B-cell lymphoma who respond well to the treatment at three months.
Results in the care strategies section show too few heavy smokers are screened for lung cancer, the continued role of evidence from randomized clinical trials compared with results gleaned from claims data, and the challenge of discussing the cost of cancer care with patients.
EBO™ also features interviews with experts who were on site at ASCO.
