Gynesonics Raises $5 Million in Funding

Gynesonics Inc. has raised $5 million of a potential $7 million offering, according to a regulatory filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday.

The Redwood City-based company offered debt, options, warrants and securities to raise the funds. The medical device company makes minimally invasive technology to help women suffering from uterine fibroids — or noncancerous tumors that develop in the uterus.

The related parties listed on the filing include Doug Fisher, Ken Haas, Jonathan Mac Quitty, Tom Rodgers, Karen Talmadge and Darrin Uecker.
