Gettys has served as chief financial officer for DIS since March 2000. During that time, he was responsible for the financial oversight of the five centers, including patient financial services, payroll, accounts payable and accounting. He has served as interim CEO for DIS since May. Prior to joining DIS, Gettys held several financial management positions in health care, including controller for River Parishes Hospital and senior staff accountant at Chalmette Medical Center.

Gettys holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Northwood University in Midland, Mich. and a master's degree in business administration from the University of New Orleans.
