BUFFALO GROVE, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 13, 2006--Akorn, Inc. (AMEX:AKN) today announced that it has received funding approval from the United States Government for the procurement of Ca-DTPA and Zn-DTPA. Total funding of approximately $21.5 million was officially authorized by the Department of Health and Human Services on February 9, 2006.
