CHICAGO, Oct. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- AdvaMed 2014: The MedTech Conference, the leading gathering of medical technology professionals in North America, opens its doors Monday at noon at McCormick Place in Chicago, Ill. The three-day conference is expected to attract more than 2,500 attendees from nearly 30 countries with the goal of sharing insights and best practices on the regulatory, reimbursement, legal, compliance and business issues driving the medical technology industry. Now in its eighth year, this is the first time this annual conference has been held in the Midwest.
This year’s conference theme, Medical Technology: Value & Innovation for Life, highlights how medical devices and diagnostics save lives and drive economic growth, while increasing the efficiency of the health care system through early detection and development of more effective treatments.

Registration for AdvaMed 2014: The MedTech Conference opens Monday at noon. Beginning at 1 p.m. and running throughout the conference is a series of panel sessions on a host of topics in the areas of business development, compliance, eHealth/mHealth, emerging growth, international, in vitro diagnostics, health policies, legal and quality issues, payment and health care delivery and technology and regulation. The Scientist Mentoring & Diversity Program links minority scholars with MedTech leaders for an annual initiative to provide intensive industry coaching. The Entrepreneurship Boot Camp is a one-day course designed for executives of early-stage companies and counsels them on how to develop actionable strategic plans to bring their innovations to market.
