REYKJAVIK, March 17 (Reuters) - Iceland's Actavis Group HF launched a preliminary $1.6 billion bid for Croatian drug firm Pliva (PLVxq.L: Quote, Profile, Research) on Friday in a deal it said would create the world's third largest generic drugs firm.
