HUNTINGTON, N.Y., June 6, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- The Feinstein Academy of Scholars, an integrated network of researchers and scholars who share a passion to revolutionize translational research, recently hosted its annual symposium. The event featured keynote speeches from a number of leading scientists in the areas of health equity in medicine, health outcomes, cancer treatment, trauma immunology, sepsis and stem cell-based approaches to metabolic disease. The Academy brings together scientists who share the mission of The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research to produce knowledge to cure disease. Members of the Academy include recipients of an honorary doctoral degree from the Elmezzi Graduate School of Molecular Medicine, Marsh and Match visiting lecturers and recipients of its Cerami, Ross or Advancing Women in Science and Medicine (AWSM) prizes. “The annual Feinstein Academy convenes leading scientists previously honored by the Feinstein Institute with Match and Marsh Lectures, Cerami and Ross Prizes, and with Elmezzi Graduate School alumni making significant contributions to science and medicine,” said Kevin.
