3M Company To Cut 400 Headquarters Jobs, Outsource Support Work; 3M Pharmaceuticals To Change Name

3M Co. has told employees that it will cut about 400 jobs at its headquarters in Maplewood by the end of March, according Jackie Berry, a 3M spokeswoman. Berry said the layoffs are a result of the company's decision to outsource some of its administrative services jobs that include receptionsts and mailroom employees. In addition, 3M Pharmaceuticals Asia Pacific and Africa has announced it has changed its name to iNova Pharmaceuticals.
