XenoPort, Inc. (Nasdaq:XNPT) announced today that Richard Kim, M.D., has been appointed senior vice president, clinical development and medical affairs, and chief medical officer. Dr. Kim joined XenoPort in July 2013 as vice president of medical affairs, supporting XenoPort’s launch of HORIZANT® (gabapentin enacarbil) Extended-Release Tablets. Dr. Kim has more than a decade of experience in both clinical development and medical affairs, most recently as vice president of clinical development and head of the multiple sclerosis therapeutic area at Elan Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
