London, UK. 14 September 2015 – Vision RT, the developer of world-leading motion management tools for the radiotherapy market, today announces that it has appointed Dr Adrian Barrett as Vice President, Product Delivery. Adrian will be responsible for overseeing all aspects relating to product delivery, from first concept to final release of each product.
Adrian joins Vision RT after spending time at Acrobot, a start-up company (spin-out from Imperial College) in 2003, where he led a multi-disciplinary team developing a novel system for minimally invasive surgery. Acrobot was acquired by Stanmore Implants in 2010, where Adrian became Head of Product Development. Adrian originally qualified as a mechanical engineer and completed an MSc in Biomedical Engineering and a PhD in Computer Assisted Surgery at Imperial College.
He brings formidable experience in product development to Vision RT, which will be used to help the company optimise and enhance existing products, as well as develop future offerings. These developments will bolster Vision RT’s market leading position for motion management tools for radiation therapy using optical technology.
