SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--This week, nine PharmD students from the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of California, San Diego will attend PAINWeek®, the National Conference on Pain for Frontline Practitioners. At this conference, with over 1,500 attendees, the doctoral pharmacy students will present research posters on a variety of topics related to the metabolism of prescription medications commonly used in the treatment of chronic pain. Many of the students’ discoveries directly correlate to the efficacy of pain medications in individual patients and could lead to more personalized treatments for those suffering from chronic pain.
