Transplanted Company, Viztek Boosts Revenue, Workers in Garner

Triangle Business Journal by Jason deBruyn, Staff Writer

GARNER – At the intersection of medicine and technology, a new way to read and store images could save a lot of money.

And a company that moved its headquarters from Florida to Garner intends to be in the middle of the action – even though it means competing against the likes of giants Fujifilm and Siemens. The company, Viztek, now has 100 employees and $50 million in revenue. That’s up from 30 employees and $30 million in revenue in 2008, just before it relocated to the Triangle.

“We’re putting images everywhere,” says Steve Deaton, Viztek vice president of sales.
