STOCKHOLM--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Acer has announced Predator Z301CT, a specialized gaming monitor that integrates Tobii Eye Tracking. The announcement was made in conjunction with the news that the product was awarded “Best of Innovation” in the CES 2017 Innovation Awards.
“We are extremely proud that Tobii Eye Tracking is included in Acer’s new monitor, which was awarded “best of innovations”
Predator Z301CT is a specialized gaming monitor and the first curved 21:9 inch display on the market to integrate eye tracking. As with several other integrations that have been published during the fall, this product also integrates the eye-tracking platform Tobii IS4. Eye tracking contributes to the player’s arsenal of control tools, and provides a deeper game immersion through a variety of features in games (http://www.tobiigaming.com/) that have been adapted for eye tracking. For an example of how eye tracking is being used, see this demo video of Elite Dangerous (https://youtu.be/J-q21Ityg4g).
“We are extremely proud that Tobii Eye Tracking is included in Acer’s new monitor, which was awarded “best of innovations” in tough competition among a variety of innovative and impressive products to be presented at the consumer electronics fair CES in January. It is also encouraging that Acer continues to launch new innovative products with eye tracking,” said Oscar Werner, President of Tobii Tech.
According to Acer’s announcement (http://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/press/2016/210645), Predator Z301CT won “Best of Innovation” award in the category of computer accessories. The jury consists of a panel of independent industrial designers, engineers and trade press which assesses a large amount of product entries in 28 different categories.
