ROCKFORD, Ill. (March 8, 2011) – Thermo Fisher Scientific, the world leader in serving science, today announced the availability of the Thermo Scientific Active GTPase Pull-Down and Detection Kits to measure the activation of numerous small GTPases. Individual kits are available for the detection of Rac1, Cdc42, Ras, Rho, Rap1, Arf1, Arf 6 and RalA.
Each Active GTPase Pull-Down and Detection Kit provides the appropriate downstream effector for a specific GTPase immobilized on resin, enabling affinity purification (pull down) of the specific GTPase using a convenient spin-column method. The resulting purified small GTPase can then be detected by Western blot analysis using the supplied GTPase-specific antibody. All Active GTPase Pull-Down and Detection Kits contain sufficient optimized reagents for 30 pull-down assays and includes positive and negative controls.
