A factory in Larne, County Antrim, that makes medical devices is creating 416 new jobs. Terumo BCT is owned by a Japanese-based company. The announcement was made by First Minister Peter Robinson and Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness during a visit to the plant on Wednesday morning. The new jobs are being supported with over £2m from Invest NI. Some of the money will help the factory branch out into research and development. Mr Robinson said: “I welcome this announcement - the Larne facility is one of the most advanced of its type in Europe.”
