ROCKVILLE, MD--(Marketwire - October 20, 2011) - The Tech Council of Maryland (TCM), Maryland’s largest technology and biotechnology association with nearly 500 members employing more than 250,000 in the region, announces the launch of CORE -- Career Opportunities and Resources -- an online career center designed to bring together jobseekers and technology companies in Maryland.
“TCM is committed to advancing the growth and development of tech and biotech companies across our state, and we believe CORE is a fundamental way to meet this goal, by helping Maryland businesses find skilled workers and interns,” said Renée Winsky, CEO of TCM. “It is our hope that CORE will become the premier career center, attracting both individuals looking for jobs, or seeking employees in Maryland’s vibrant tech and biotech communities.”
TCM created CORE because, even though the national economy is struggling, TCM member companies are still hiring, and were seeking a centralized way to reach highly qualified and relevant prospects and potential interns. CORE is one of the most recent member benefits introduced by TCM that are designed to help its members grow and strengthen their businesses, which in turn bolster the state’s economy and spur continued innovation.
TCM members can post job or internship openings on CORE for free, and the fee for non-members is $195 per job posting. There is no cost for job seekers.
