RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., June 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Talecris Biotherapeutics Holdings Corp. (Nasdaq: TLCR) today announced the promotion of John R. Perkins to the position of executive vice president, global commercial operations.
In this leadership position, Perkins will be responsible for the global commercial business, including worldwide portfolio management, sales and marketing.

Perkins joined Talecris Biotherapeutics in 2006 and most recently served as the senior vice president and general manager, portfolio management and U.S. business. He also serves on the board of directors for Centric Health Resources.
Prior to joining Talecris, Perkins was an operations executive at Cerberus Capital. He previously held a variety of positions at General Electric in corporate business development (M&A), marketing and product management, sales, operations and corporate audit.
Perkins received his Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University and his Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University‘s Kellogg School of Management.
