This partnership allows Sysmex and its distributor partners to offer a compact software and interfacing solution for physician offices and clinics that connect Sysmex’s XP-300 moderately complex hematology analyzer directly to Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
Physician office-based laboratories (POL) often lack a laboratory information system (LIS) that would typically connect diagnostic instruments and produce patient reports. Without this connectivity, physician office labs and clinics process testing data manually, which takes extra time and can contribute to potential transcription errors and decreased productivity.
The Sysmex and Medicus Middleware collaboration resulted in the development of two enhanced laboratory solutions exclusively for the Sysmex XP-300 hematology analyzer: XP-300 Plus and XP-300 Linc. Both systems provide an affordable, easy-to-implement solution that connects the XP-300 directly to the EMR and includes a user interface for reviewing and accepting results. The products support automated and manual order entry and provide printable and compliant lab reports. The XP-300 Linc version also connects up to five additional instruments.
