KALAMAZOO, Mich., Feb. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Stryker Corporation announced that Katherine A. Owen will join the Company in the newly created position of Vice President, Strategy and Investor Relations.
In this role, Ms. Owen will be responsible for leading Stryker's strategic planning process, overseeing the Business Development function and driving strong alignment between the Company's mid- and long-term strategies and its external business development plans. Additionally, she will have responsibility for day-to-day Investor Relations activities.
Prior to joining Stryker, Ms. Owen enjoyed a successful career at Merrill Lynch, serving for eight years as their medical technologies Equity Analyst. Before joining Merrill Lynch, Ms. Owen was an analyst in Cowen & Company's medical technologies group for three years. She has also held meaningful roles at both State Street Bank and Chubb Insurance. Ms. Owen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts and an MBA from Boston College.
