20th June 2011 -- Source BioScience (LSE: SBS), the international diagnostics and genetic analysis business, plans to launch its new Overnight Service to UK researchers from the 27th of June 2011, for customers in London, Cambridge and the Midlands.
Currently Source BioScience offers 24 hour DNA sequencing from a network of facilities across Europe to researchers in London, Oxford, Cambridge, Dublin, Nottingham and Berlin, with free collection and delivery. Since the service was launched in 2007 demand has been growing steadily and sales have demonstrated double digit growth year on year.
The new Overnight Service will significantly reduce turnaround times for research groups and, in conjunction with SpeedREAD automated data delivery, it represents the world’s fastest DNA sequencing service. Customers will now be able to receive their sequencing results by 9am the next day, including Saturdays, at no extra cost.
The service will commence on the 27th of June 2011 for London, Cambridge, Nottingham, Leicester, Birmingham and Sheffield enabling many customers to access an overnight sequencing service for the first time.
