ANDOVER, Mass., June 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Smith & Nephew’s Endoscopy division today announced the appointment of Michael G. Frazzette as President. In addition, he was also appointed a member of Smith & Nephew’s Group Executive Committee.
Mr. Frazzette, 44, joins Smith & Nephew with 20 years of sales, marketing and executive leadership experience. Most recently he served as President & CEO of MicroGroup Inc. (Medway, Mass.), a private, equity-owned contract manufacturer of medical devices. Prior to that, he spent 16 years at TYCO Healthcare, including three years each as President of their Patient Care and Health Systems Divisions.

Mr. Frazzette will start his new position on July 5, and will be based at the Endoscopy Division headquarters in Andover. He replaces former division president Jim Taylor, who left the company earlier this year to pursue other business opportunities.
Mr. Frazzette received his B.A. degree in Chemistry from Whittier College, Whittier, Calif. He currently resides in Franklin, Mass., with his wife and three children.
