PRNewswire -- SkyWest, Inc. (Nasdaq: SKYW) today announced the appointment of Michael K. Young to the Board of Directors of SkyWest, Inc. and its subsidiaries, effective July 1, 2009. Young has been appointed to fill the vacancies that will be created with the resignation of W. Steve Albrecht, who has notified SkyWest of his intention to resign as a director of SkyWest, Inc., SkyWest Airlines, Inc. and Atlantic Southeast Airlines, Inc., effective June 30, 2009. Young is currently the 14th president of the University of Utah. Prior to his appointment at the University of Utah, he was Dean of the George Washington University Law School (1998-2004). Before that, he was the Fuyo Professor of Japanese Law and Legal Institutions and Director of the Center of Japanese Legal Studies and the Center for Korean Legal Studies at Columbia University (1978-1998).
