SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sequenta, Inc., today published results demonstrating that a combination of traditional immune assays and next-generation sequencing can be used to characterize immune responses at a level not possible using standard assays alone. Conventional immune monitoring assays, which enable identification of populations of T cells that either bind to or respond to antigen via T cell receptors, are able to provide information on only the totality of an immune response. These assays alone cannot be used to characterize the component T cells (called “clonotypes”) that together contribute to an immune response.
