While leaders of the Scripps Florida project consider potential planning and construction delays if the biotech research community is moved from its destined home on Mecca Farms, other Palm Beach County officials say there likely will be legal delays if they keep it there.County Commission Chairwoman Karen Marcus on Friday said the county could face years of legal wrangling if it stays the course on the Mecca property. The county’s legal staff is poring over contracts and considering strategy in case a lawsuit is filed.
