CYPRESS, Calif., Aug. 31, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Samsung Medison America appoints Brian Keith as Sales General Manager, USA to address a growing demand for its expansive line of Ultrasound platforms. Mr. Keith will be responsible for the US sales organization and its management in Samsung Medison America.

Mr. Keith is an industry veteran with over 15 years of medical device sales experience. He has held numerous strategic positions in several medical device companies including General Electric and Abbott Laboratories.

Most recently, Mr. Keith was the US General Manager, Point of Care Ultrasound at GE Healthcare. He managed a team of direct sales, distributors, clinical specialists, and support staff, demonstrating his capable leadership and accomplishing double digit sales growth year after year. Prior to his recent position, Mr. Keith spent 7 years in various sales management positions within GE including Regional Sales Manager, OB/Gyn Ultrasound market segment as well as Ultrasound Account Executive in OB/Gyn and Urology segments.

Despite the overall stagnation in the industry, Samsung Medison America achieved a significant growth last year. This is a true testament to our commitment in the US market.
