SECAUCUS, NJ, March 25, 2019 -- On March 25th, the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) and Rx.Health announced a new innovation partnership to develop a digital toolkit with the goal of enhancing patient engagement and promoting digital transformation in the practice of gastroenterology (GI). With an international membership of over 16,000 physicians and scientists, the AGA is widely recognized as the leading professional association fostering the science, practice, and advancement of GI. Dissemination of the joint offering will be powered by Rx.Health’s digital prescription platform, RxUniverseTM.

The focus of the partnership will be the development and implementation of a GI-specific toolkit through utilization of the RxStitchTM engine, which takes seemingly disparate digital assets and combines them into a complementary suite of bundled services that enhance patient care outside of the clinical setting. RxStitchTM has already been utilized in successful implementations providing perioperative care and support bundles in specialties such as orthopedics and cardiology to improve patient activation and outcomes, while enhancing throughput and efficiency.

“Extending the application of RxStitchTM to GI was fundamental to our roadmap as we developed the program, and having the AGA as a partner provides the type of professional and clinical validation few associations can offer,” said Andy Pfau, Rx.Health’s Chief Operating Officer. “By combining the AGA’s unparalleled subject matter expertise and eagerness to promote innovation within the field, we will be able to support health systems and ambulatory surgical centers with our full suite of perioperative, evidence-based digital solutions as a plug and play, turnkey solution.”

Representatives from Rx.Health will be promoting the partnership at AGA’s annual Digestive Disease Week®, which runs from May 18-21 in San Diego, CA. Sites interested in being considered in 2019 pioneer cohort can email engage@Rx.Health with their interest.
