Chapel Hill, North Carolina - Rho, a privately-held contract research organization (CRO), has announced that it plans to actively hunt to fill 30 positions during the Drug Information Association (DIA) 2016 Annual Meeting. The meeting will be held at the Philadelphia Convention Center from June 26 to 30.

“It’s been a great year for Rho all together, and wonderful that we have such capacity to hire so many new talented, dedicated, professionals for added depth in our employee pool,” said Brook White, senior director, Corporate Communications at Rho, in a statement. “We are committed to maintaining a prosperous work environment, starting with the needs of our employees. We look forward to meeting potential new team members this year at DIA.”

Although the company doesn’t plan to conduct interviews at the meeting itself, it does want to hear from potential applicants. The company’s facilities are all in Chapel Hill, which is where the jobs would be located, although there are also several home-based positions available. Applicants for those positions must live within a 60-minute commute of a U.S. metropolitan airport.

“They definitely want to be meeting candidates and gathering information,” says Bernadette Miller, a senior account executive with LargeMouth Communications, Rho’s public relations firm. “They will not be conducting interviews during the show, but it’s a great way to see and meet people and potential candidates face-to-face, put a face with a name, and glance through the resume and move forward with interviews after the show. Job seekers should stop by the Rho booth, #815, and provide their contact information (either business card or badge scan) as well as information about the type of position they are seeking.”

The company is hiring in a number of different areas, including project management, clinical operations, quality assurance, IT and Human Resources.

Last year, Rho was recognized as one of the Best CROs by the Triangle Business Journal. The Best CRO award recognizes individuals and organizations that are breaking ground in the life sciences industry.

“It is an honor to be included among the top life science industry leaders in the RTP region,” said Laura Helms Recce, Rho’s chief executive officer, in a statement. “This award is a testament to Rho’s commitment to exceptional service, and to our agility and adaptability in providing customers the clinical trial support they need. As an employee-focused CRO grounded in North Carolina, we are dedicated to growing the life sciences industry and helping improve the business climate, both in the RTP region and across the state.”

The company was honored on June 6, during the Society for Clinical Trials (SCT)’ 37th Annual Meeting. Rho and the a team of researchers in the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Immune Tolerance Network (ITN) won the David Sackett Trial of the Year Award for work on LEAP Trial: Randomized Trial of Peanut Consumption in Infants at Risk for Peanut Allergy.

The results of the study were published in the New England Journal of Medicine in 2015, which essentially found “an overall 81 percent reduction of peanut allergy in children who began early, continuous consumption of peanut, compared to those who avoided peanut.”

Rho encourages anyone wanting to learn more about job opportunities to pay a visit to booth #815 at the DIA meeting. Current openings can be found at the company’s website.
