HACKENSACK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The skin cancer melanoma is one of the fastest growing cancers, rising at a rate of 3 to 5 percent annually during the past 30 years. The American Cancer Society estimates that in 2008, about 60,000 new cases of melanoma will be diagnosed in the United States and 8,000 people will die from it.
