Dr John Sinden, Chief Scientific Officer of ReNeuron, will be speaking at a public stem cell forum to be held at the Wellcome Trust in London on 7 March. The event is one of a series of Stem Cell Roadshows organised by the UK National Stem Cell Network in collaboration with the Association of Medical Research Charities. The events are designed for the general public to attend in order to gain further information on the research and development of stem cell treatments in the UK and overseas. The London event has been organised in conjunction with the London Regenerative Medicine Network. Dr Sinden will speak about ReNeuron’s ground-breaking clinical trial of its ReN001 stem cell therapy for disabled stroke patients, currently taking place in Scotland.

Michael Hunt, Chief Executive Officer of ReNeuron, will speak at the UK Trade and Investment Life Sciences International Business Innovation Zone (IBIZ 2011), part of the Healthcare Innovation EXPO taking place at London’s ExCel Centre on 9 -10 March. This is the UK’s banner 2011 event for health and social care commissioners and providers. Mr Hunt will be participating in the regenerative medicine seminar stream at IBIZ 2011 and will speak about the issues to be confronted in taking a ground-breaking stem cell therapy into clinical development.

Finally, Dr Paul Stroemer, Head of Pre-clinical Research at ReNeuron, will speak at the UK National Stem Cell Network 2011 Annual Scientific Conference, taking place at the University of York on 30 March – 1 April. Dr Stroemer will speak about the development of human neural stem cells for clinical use.
